Maslen Nos is a picturesque cape located in the easternmost part of the Strandzha Mountains, near the town of Primorsko. It juts out into the Black Sea and is surrounded by vast golden beaches, making it one of the most beautiful spots along the Southern Black Sea coast.

At the spot where the Ropotamo River cuts through the slopes of Strandzha, on the massive rocks carved by the river, the ancient city of Ranuli once stood. Remnants of this city can still be seen in the area, testifying to the rich cultural heritage of the region.

One of the landmarks near Maslen Nos is the so-called “Seal Cave.” According to local legends, this cave was once inhabited by monk seals, native to the Black Sea. Today, the cave is a popular tourist attraction, drawing numerous visitors.

For hiking enthusiasts, an eco-trail was opened in 2016, connecting the Thracian sanctuary Begliktash with Maslen Nos. This trail offers visitors the chance to enjoy stunning natural landscapes and explore the area’s rich historical heritage.
